Kaitlin from The Every Hostess and I recently got together to have a s’mores night in collaboration with Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, and it was so much fun. Below you will find all of my tips for creating the best s’mores party, and if you are looking for more inspiration make sure to head over to The Every Hostess for all of her recipes and tips.
These recipes are perfect for the upcoming fall season and are simple to put together.
HOW TO MAKE A DESSERT BOARD?
First of all, how stunning is this s’mores board? Kaitlin created this board, and I am absolutely obsessed. Creating a board for your s’mores is an easy way to enhance making s’mores.
You can use just about anything to serve the dessert board. Here Kaitlin is using a large white platter, but you can use a wooden board, a cake stand, or a marble board. Start by placing chocolate on your desired serving platter. Then, layer around any marshmallows or graham crackers. Finally, add some fruit around the board for a pop of color.
THE BEST CAMPFIRE COCKTAIL
I don’t know about you all, but I love any cocktail that has chocolate any it. Actually, I really just love anything that has chocolate in it. This recipe was inspired by Jacquelyn from Lark & Linen, and can be made in a few simple steps.
Ingredients
1 marshmallow
1 tbsp. Rocky Mountain Chocolate melted
1/2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. graham cracker crumbs
1 oz. vodka
2 oz. Irish cream
2 oz. 2% milk
ice
Melt your chocolate with butter until it is smooth. Then, rim your desired glass with chocolate, and then dip into your graham cracker crumbs.
Add your vodka, Irish cream, and milk into a shaker with ice and shake. If you don't have a shaker, you can do this in a pitcher.
Place a few ice cubes into your glasses and pour in the mixture.
Last, place a toasted marshmallow in the drink for the perfect garnish. You can toast your marshmallows in the broiler or with a kitchen torch on a sheet pan.
**Note: This recipe makes one drink. Increase the amounts to create the desired amounts of drinks you would like.
HOW TO MAKE THE PERFECT S’MORE
Take a graham cracker and break it in half.
Then, break off a piece of chocolate from your Rocky Mountain Chocolate Bar. Set aside on a small plate or napkin.
Next, grab a metal or wooden skewer and roast your s’more over the fire until it is golden brown. When your s’more is golden brown, grab one pieces of graham cracker and place your chocolate on it.
Take your marshmallow while it is still on your skewer and put it on top of the chocolate.
Finally, take your second piece of graham cracker and place it on top of your marshmallow and slowly remove the skewer. Enjoy! **Note - If you are using a wooden skewer make sure to soak it in water for at least 5-10 minutes to ensure that it does not catch on fire.

CREATE AN INVITING SEATING AREA
When you are hosting friends for your s'mores party you will need to create an inviting seating area. I loved this seating Kaitlin set up for us. Make sure you have comfy chairs, set out some florals and something to place your s'mores board on. If you are hosting a s'mores party in the fall make sure to set out a few blankets.
I hope you all enjoyed these ideas and are inspired to create your own s'mores party with some Rocky Mountain Chocolate.
